How far will you travel for a job?
Our standard range is between Biddeford and Lewiston. Most of our work is in South Portland and Cape Elizabeth.

We will travel to any job however it will need to be priced accordingly
How big is your crew?
Labor is tough in the construction world no matter who you ask so sometimes the crew size varies from year to year. Typically, the crew size is between 3-5 painters.
How long will it take to get my project done?
The short answer for most projects is typically within a week or two. The long answer is it depends on how big your project is and if the weather is cooperating. Long periods of rain can push out our whole schedule for the entire season.
Do you offer a warranty?
We offer a 1-2 year warranty depending on the number of coats you get. 1 year for 1 coat and 2 years for 2 coats. Our standard project is quoted for 2 coats automatically unless the customer asks otherwise.

We do not warranty horizontal surfaces. Sorry in advance but your decks and front porches are going to peel faster than everywhere else. Snow, rain, foot traffic, furniture, shoveling, foliage, etc. is going to deteriorate the paint/stain so we can't warranty those portions of the project.
What type of paint do you use?
We use Sherwin Williams on all of our projects unless otherwise requested. Just let us know in advance if you want a different paint manufacturer.
What if I have rotting wood?
We can take care of it! Many projects require rot repair of trim and siding. We typically handle all of the rot repair issues at an hourly rate. We got tired of waiting for other carpenters to do the work so we added that service many years ago to avoid schedule flow issues.
Do you handle more than painting and carpentry?
Yes we do. Although painting is our main priority we do get requests for handyman services and remodeling. This is something we would plan to do on long periods of rain or during the winter.
Will you pick the color for the project?
Unfortunately, I'm not a designer and do not want to pick a color that you might be unhappy with. Feel free to ask for my opinion but ultimately, it is your house and you'll need to tell me exactly what color you'd like to go with. The color experts at Sherwin Williams (or other paint store) would be happy to walk you through all of the options.
What does the full process of getting my job done look like?
Our standard project includes this following:
-
Pressure wash the project 1-2 weeks prior to starting the prep. This will allow for proper drying time.
-
We scrape all failing paint, sand where needed, caulk all trim and other necessary areas, remove items from the building if requested (flag pole holders, flower box, dog run, downspouts, etc.)
-
Replace any rotted wood if necessary
-
Prime all bare wood
-
Paint two coats
-
Reinstall items as requested
-
Clean up
Do I have to be home while the work is getting done?
Typically no for most portions of the project but yes for certain parts. We would need you to be home to paint doors and wooden windows so we can keep them ajar during the drying process. Also if the only access to electricity and water is inside.
